Confidential and compassionate guidance from one of our local Service Navigators.

8am – 4pm EST / Monday – Friday

Speaking to a Service Navigator is free.

We will listen to your needs and help connect the dots—pointing you to the services, resources, or providers that make sense for you.

Some of these services are free, and some may come with a cost. We’ll always be upfront about that—this is not a sales call.

Parenting Education Program (PEP)

The Parenting Education Program (PEP) is required by the Connecticut Superior Court for many parents going through divorce or separation. Gilead Community Services is an approved provider of this program.

We helps parents understand the challenges children face when the landscape of their family changes along with ways to support healthy transitions for the entire family.

Through expert counseling and tailored curriculum, parents learn how they can help their children adjust to parent separation, provide cooperative parenting, conflict resolution and dispute management, visitation guidelines and stress reducing techniques.

A better mental health care system is possible

That’s the vision that two Gilead Community Services board members had for the Mental Health Resource Center.

When Fran Ludwig and Russ Hassmann needed support and care for their loved ones, they didn’t know where to go.

They both experienced firsthand how overwhelming and stressful it can be to find appropriate, affordable care.

On average, the MHRC helps over 2,000 people a year through phone calls, trainings, classes, and support groups.

Fran and Russ envisioned a hub where someone could call for themselves or a loved one, learn about available options, and explore personalized solutions – supported by Service Navigators who provide referrals and recommendations with empathy and compassion.

Today the MHRC support the mental health needs of individuals, businesses and organizations, municipalities, and communities.
